LET'S CELEBRATE!

Roof Blessing Mass + Fellowship

Saturday, December 6, 2025 • 1:00 PM

God is faithful and the roof of your Lutheran Campus Ministry at WVU has been replaced! This project is not only an investment in the future of your ministry here in Morgantown, but also a beautiful reminder of God’s faithfulness through our Lutheran Mountaineer family. That means…it’s time to celebrate!

We hope you can join us at the Lutheran Campus Ministry at WVU on Saturday, December 6th at 1:00pm, as we worship God and enjoy a time of fellowship + food afterwards. We thank God for you! The Holy Spirit’s work through your support, prayers, and encouragement has made this milestone possible, and are what keep this ministry not just surviving, but thriving. As we gather to give thanks for a safe roof over our heads, we are also celebrating the ways this renewed space will continue to shelter worship, community, and ministry for generations of Lutheran Mountaineers to come.

Please email your RSVP to chaplain@lutheranmountaineer.org by December 3rd, so we can prepare all the seating and delicious food! We will also offer a live-stream, available on replay, for those who will not be able to attend in person. We can’t wait to worship with you, bless this roof, and celebrate what God is doing at your Lutheran Campus Ministry at WVU!

A NOTE ON PARKING
Our small driveway at the Lutheran Campus Ministry at WVU will be full on the day of our Roof Blessing, but there are many options close by!
Parking around the Lutheran Campus Ministry at WVU is a mix of WVU-owned lots and public parking options. To make your visit as smooth and stress-free as possible, we recommend using the following nearby public parking lots/metered areas, which allow you to park without needing a university permit (or risking a ticket or tow by WVU):

• Metered parking along University Ave in front of the Chapel

• Lot E (surface lot 548 Chestnut St, Morgantown)

• Lot K/University Ave Parking Garage (399 Chestnut St, Morgantown)

You can see parking options in relation to the Lutheran Campus Ministry in the image below, or visit the Morgantown Parking Authority website for more information (including how to pay for metered parking via phone app): https://www.parkmpa.com/find-parking/

If you’re in Downtown Morgantown, you can’t miss our Chapel! The iconic roof, the bright red, and those two chaplains who hand out lemonade and welcome you to campus.

But more than that, students recognize your Lutheran Campus Ministry at WVU as a place they can go to when life gets tough to remember the God who holds them close, a place where they can worship and experience the love of Christ in Word and Sacrament, a place where they can feel the peace that only the Spirit can bring in the midst of the whirlwind that is young adulthood.

There is no other place on campus like

your Lutheran Campus Ministry at West Virginia University!

By the grace of God, this Lutheran Mountaineer family has repaired our iconic Chapel roof in order to continue to provide a faith home away from home for generations of Mountaineers to come. This repair has not just fixed our leaks, but has helped us continue as a beacon of Christ’s light on University Ave as students navigate classes and college life.

Because of you, when the Spirit nudges young adults toward something holy,

your Lutheran Campus Ministry at WVU is there to offer a listening year, an engaging conversation, many opportunities for meaningful worship, and a warm home-cooked meal. A sanctuary during the college years that God is using to transform our lives and the communities the Holy Spirit leads our young adults to next.
